Blue Skies Are Telling Me To Go that Way (Framed)

This monotype is one in a series of abstract images printed on delicate Okawara Select Awagami Washi paper.

When I have finished printing I am often fascinated by the marks of ink left on my worktop, they are sometimes just too interesting to wipe away. This print is made by placing paper over these marks and using a baren to apply pressure to lift the ink onto the paper. I will sometimes do this over several days and several different inkings to create a layered result.

Please note that this Japanese paper is handmade and very delicate in nature with a slight translucency. There may be crease marks from printing process, I have included a photo to show these.

This print comes presented in a white frame.

Although I try to maintain colour accuracy when photographing work, due to different screen settings on devices there may be slight variations.

All artworks posted within the UK are sent by Royal Mail Tracked and Signed which (usually!) arrives the next day after dispatch before 1pm.

Artworks sent to Europe and beyond are sent by Royal Mail International Tracked, and usually arrive within a week of dispatch. The price for Global Shipping is set to cater for different sizes and weights of artworks; I always refund the customer the excess amount if the actual cost works out cheaper. International shipments may be subject to additional import taxes, customs duties or fees imposed by the destination country, payable by the customer on receipt.
